Hannity Addresses Time Slot Change, Challenges Viewers To Beat ‘Conspiracy Theory TV’ MSNBC (Mediaite)

At the end of his show Monday night, Sean Hannity informed his viewers that he’ll be returning to the 9pm time slot where his show began to make room for Laura Ingraham, whose show The Ingraham Angle will launch in October.

“All of my career, I always started behind the eight ball,” Hannity told his viewers. “In the month of August, for example, we were #2 in cable because for some bizarre reason, conspiracy theory TV is working right now.”

That was a not-so-subtle jab at MSNBC, whose ratings have surged during the Trump presidency.

“But with your help- you help us spread the word,” Hannity continued, “give us a little time, we’re planning on being #1 with your help.”

He then congratulated Ingraham and acknowledged all the changes Fox News has had in the past year.

“I never expected that I would be the bridge between two generations of the Fox News Channel, this is the next generation,” Hannity said. “And now we’ve had some changes obviously, Greta [Van Susteren] and Bill [O’Reilly] and Megyn [Kelly] have all left. I’m glad to be back in my old time slot — it all starts next Monday. We are very proud of Tucker [Carlson], Martha [MacCallum] and of course now Laura.”
