Sen. Lankford on Trump Deals with Dems: It Doesn’t Bother Me, That’s Part of Governing

‘It was entirely appropriate far president to do’

EXCERPT:

LANKFORD: "And quite frankly, it was one of the frustrations we had under President Obama, was he was so focused on his pen and the phone and doing executive action, we didn’t have the opportunity to really be able to sit down with the President and try to find the way to be able to get deals. So it doesn’t bother me for the President to sit down with Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi, it was entirely appropriate for the President to do. It would have been good for President Obama to be able to do with our leadership and Republican leadership. Obviously it didn’t happen, but it needs to happen. That’s part of governing."
