STEYN: "I mean, when you consider that Chuck Schumer is not the most appealing person on the face of the Earth to put it mildly, the fact that he was willing to do this is a huge reflection on Ryan and McConnell. And the interesting this is there are three factions in Washington. There is basically a three party system now: there is the Republicans, there is the Democrats and there is Trump. The Democrats have a base, Trump has a base. It’s not clear to me that Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell have a base. And the incompetence since January is on them and reflects extremely poorly on them."
