Ben Cardin: Trump’s Language ‘Has Only Made the Circumstance More Dangerous and Worse’ with N. Korea

CARDIN: "We all can agree there’s no easy answer. North Korea is extremely dangerous. The President, President Trump’s language, I think has only made the circumstance more dangerous and worse. We've got to find a common interest. China is the country that can change the equation in North Korea’s calculation. I understand that China may have a different agenda than the United States. China wants to make sure that there’s a communist North Korea. The United States wants to make sure that North Korea doesn’t develop its nuclear capacity that could endanger the United States. Both China and the United States would like this done without a military option. We got to find a common agenda working with China, and maybe Russia, that can tone down this crisis."
