Farenthold Stands in Rain Soaking Wet, Prepares for Hurricane Harvey (The Washington Free Beacon)

Rep. Blake Farenthold (R., Texas) was drenched Friday morning as he spoke to MSNBC about the approaching Hurricane Harvey and Texas' preparedness.

The lawmaker representing Texas' 27th congressional district, which includes coastal Corpus Christi, spoke to MSNBC's "Velshi and Ruhle" looking as though he just went for a swim. In reality, it had been raining extremely hard as the storm prepared to make landfall.

Co-host Ali Velshi commented on Farenthold's discheveled appearence, calling him an "inspiration."
