Ana Navarro Tells Ed Martin to Back Off During Tense Exchange: ‘You’re a Little Too Close’

‘Try to control yourself from interrupting me because you’re a little too close and you’re getting into my danger zone’

Ana Navarro Tells Ed Martin to Back Off During Tense Exchange: ‘You’re a Little Too Close’ (Mediaite)

A CNN panel discussion got a bit carried away this evening as conservative panelist and possibly new Jeffrey Lord replacement Ed Martin was mixing it up with just about everyone, leading to numerous heated exchanges.

However, none were as tense as a moment between Martin and political commentator Ana Navarro when Navarro told the Missouri Republican, who was sitting next to her, to back away as she was getting upset with him interrupting her.

After Martin and liberal commentator Paul Begala finished a back-and-forth, Navarro jumped into the conversation, stating that President Donald Trump’s embrace and possible pardoning of Joe Arpaio was a message to his base and “anybody that’s anti-Hispanic.”

“America first — America first,” Martin interjected, causing Navarro to essentially flip out.

“No, sweetheart, I’m America first, and you don’t get to tell me that I’m not,” she exclaimed. “But I’m also not anti-Hispanic. I’m not anti-immigrant. I’m not anti-black. I’m not anti-transgender. I’m not anti-gays, so you don’t get to tell me that I’m not America first because I’m an immigrant and I’m a Hispanic!”

And she wasn’t done. After she tried to go back to her original point about Arpaio, Martin leaned over her way, causing Navarro to once again address him.

“Try to control yourself from interrupting me because you’re a little too close and you’re getting into my danger zone,” she declared.
