Lawrence Jones: Removing Statues Will Not Make Lives Better for Black Folks

‘Economic prosperity is going to make lives better’

RUSH EXCERPT:

JONES: "The statues, I get it. They are upset about it, and I’m not saying I like the statues. At the end of the day, removing the statue is not going to make lives better for black folks. I’m sorry, it’s not. Economic prosperity is going to make lives better. I get the debate, I think local cities should decide, states should decide, but I think this has become a distraction on what really matters for the black community about my community, and I think we should be more focused on economic prosperity, education. Just because you remove a statute does not going to take Kate out of that certain races hard I’m sorry."
