David Plouffe on Israel-Hamas War: ‘We Ultimately Need a Peace Agreement Here’

‘The United States of America is deeply involved in the region, in these discussions. We’ll remain to be so’

PLOUFFE: "Of course not. I think the United States of America is deeply involved in the region, in these discussions and we’ll remain to be so. Secretary Kerry -- another place, I think, where he’s done incredibly important and viable work. I think the entire world is looking intensively toward this region to try and have the violence to cease and, you know, it remains to be seen exactly what happens here. But we not just need the violence to cease and it's hard to see, given the current situation, how we get there, but we ultimately need a peace agreement here, because that’s ultimately the pathway towards prosperity and security gains that are desperately needed in the region."
