CAPUTO: "First, when I was in my closed session with the House, I thought I was being treated very professionally. They were firm and direct, especially Representative Schiff and Representative Swalwell from the Democrat side, and I thought it was a pretty fair situation. In fact, on national media interviews afterward, I shared with people that it was pretty fair and we should watch this move forward. But then, of course, Representative Jackie Speier of the House of Representatives Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, who did not attend the hearing and didn't yet see the transcript, decided to say that I somehow lied to Congress. If Representative Smear can go ahead and do those kinds of things without even attending the meeting, I think everyone is at risk on the House side."
