Schakowsky on GOP/Dem ObamaCare Reform: ‘We’d Be Very Willing ... to Create a Public Option’

‘There has to be a dropping of the idea’

RUSH EXCERPT:
JANSING: "Is there a starting point and where do you think Democrats might be willing to compromise?"
SCHAKOWSKY: "I think we would be very willing to do things like create a public option in communities where there is no insurer or there's only one and there's no competition. We could do something together and the president has talked about this too to lower drug price which is is one of the big issues that drives the high cost of health care, the pharmaceutical companies have been gouging for a long time and the president agrees with that. There are areas of agreement that we could focus on. There has to be a dropping of the idea."
