MSNBC: Protesters Clash with Police Outside G-20 Summit

‘No reaction from the White House yet’

EXCERPT:

O'DONNELL: "No reaction from the White House yet, although it was certainly expected that there would be protests as we've discussed. The G20 always attracts a very organized and determined level of protests with very specific sets of issues that are part of what draws them to the meeting of the 19 largest capitalistic economies, 19 nations and European Union, making the G20.  From where we are, here's what we can tell you. We are separated by the river from where Keir is. We can see some of the protestors who are at some of the roadways closest to the bank on the other side. We've observed lots of helicopters overhead. We've been hearing noises that sounded like bangs. There was one stretch that I counted 17, unable to discern what that is, if it's a firecracker type pop or if it's tear gas, or if it's a combination of some sort of noise to try to disburse the crowd, in addition to the water. Not exactly sure, but it is certainly notable when you hear the bang-bang-bang. We have seen the helicopter presence of what appeared to be German military aircraft. Obviously President Trump is in a secure location, having a meeting this evening with the prime minister of Japan and the president of South Korea, talking about the peril that is North Korea right now and their aggression, their use of long-range missile, their capabilities for nuclear weaponry. So, the President is in a secure zone."
