Bill Cassidy: Senate Health Care Bill Could Be a ‘Positive’ for Access to Care

‘In terms of access to care, it could be positive’

EXCERPT:

CASSIDY: "For access to care, it will depend upon the formulas for the generosity of that credit for the lower income American. So, let me reserve judgment until I finish saying that. And in terms of access to care, it could be positive. When folks are on Medicaid, typically, there is only some doctors that see Medicaid patients. When they’re on private insurance, there is a far broader panel of folks to see. And so if, as we move people to private insurance, they have greater access to doctors, to specialists, that could be a positive thing."
