Van Hollen: ‘I’m Very Concerned’ Trump Still Has Not Acknowledged Russian Hacking

‘We have the testimony of James Comey, who told the public, told the Congress that he had had conversations with the president about lots of things, but never once did Donald Trump bring up the challenge to our democracy from Russian hacking’

EXCERPT:

RUHLE: "I want to turn to Russian hacking for a moment. In just a few minutes, that Senate Intel Committee meeting will begin. Does it concern you at all that yesterday Press Secretary Sean Spicer said he has had no conversations with the president around hacking? And now, it’s important to separate it. I’m not talking about collusion or the Trump campaign being involved, but Russian hacking. Are you concerned that still the president has not acknowledged it?"
VAN HOLLEN: "Yes, I’m very concerned. We have Sean Spicer’s statements, we have the testimony of James Comey, who told the public, told the Congress that he had had conversations with the president about lots of things, but never once did Donald Trump bring up the -- the challenge to our democracy from Russian hacking. This is a very serious issue."
