SCHUMER: "So first let me talk about something we are all troubled and worried about. That is the rising tide of anti-Semitism around the world. It seems that every time we think for a moment we've entered a more enlightened era of tolerance, that age-old demon, anti-Semitism, rears its ugly head again and comes back with a new virulence. Over the past five years, we've watched almost with astonishment and disbelief the specter of anti-Semitism rise again in Europe."
