Ellison: The Reality of Trumpism Is Setting In

‘You know, people famously said don’t take him literally, take him seriously’

EXCERPT:

ELLISON: "Well, you know, people famously said, 'Don’t take him literally, take him seriously.' And I think what that means is there’s a lot of folks who didn’t really believe he was going to try to take health care away from 24 million people. They didn’t really believe he was going to do some of the things he said — he sort of channeled a lot of anger. But now the reality of Trump and Trumpism all over the country is setting in and you know, we have a broader — a bigger vision than just him. We believe we should be active on climate and people do have a right to go to a doctor. We’re pushing that forward. And that is an attractive thing that the Democratic Party is focusing on."
