Jordan: The States that Use the Waiver Will See their Insurance Premiums Come Down ‘Significantly’

JORDAN: "Well actually for states who use the waivers they’re going to see premiums come down. In many ways the CBO report confirms what we in the Freedom Caucus were fighting for. We know we made this bill better by engaging in that intense and vigorous debate we had over the last several weeks, and CBO confirms that. As evidence by the fact, if your state that gets a waiver, premiums come down significantly; if you get the full waiver they come down even more. And frankly, even states who don’t seek the waiver from some of those regulations which we know are driving up costs, even states that don’t get it, they're going to see help as well. So, we -- we fought all along to say look, we want premiums to come down for middle class and working class families in this country and that happens under the -- under the bill that we -- we worked to make changes to."
