Fox News: Pentagon Officials Warned Flynn About Accepting Payment from Foreign Sources

SMITH: "President Trump’s former national security adviser Michael Flynn and the hundreds of thousands of dollars he received from foreign governments and groups, especially Turkey and Russia. According to newly released documents from the House Oversight Committee, Pentagon officials warned General Flynn years ago when he retired from the military about going through the proper channels before accepting payment. From a Defense Intelligence Agency letter to Flynn in 2014, 'If you were ever in a position to receive an emolument or a fee from a foreign government or from an entity that might be controlled by a foreign government, be sure to obtain advanced approval from the Army prior to acceptance.' Flynn’s lawyer a couple days ago said his client followed all the appropriate procedures for accepting foreign funds, specifically when he met with the Russian president Vladimir Putin in Moscow a couple of years ago. But he didn’t."
