Anita Dunn: ‘Hard Not to Read’ Jonathan Allen’s Book and ‘Feel an Incredible Amount of Respect’ for Hillary

‘I think the only thing worse than a campaign book written about a winning campaign is a campaign book about a losing campaign’

EXCERPT:

DUNN: "I think the only thing worse than a campaign book written about a winning campaign is a campaign book written about a losing campaign. And those of us who've done presidential campaigns know how painful it is to read about everything that you might have done differently, to read different perspectives on it. So, you know, I’m not surprised that the Clinton campaign would have a very strong reaction to the book. But I thought Hillary Clinton was a sympathetic throughout the book which I read this week. Her strength, her perseverance, her determination -- even her determination not to make the mistakes that she had made in 2008 -- it's hard not to read this book and not feel an incredible amount of respect for her."
