STIREWALT: "If they screw this thing up and have a government shutdown trying to get an arbitrary promise met for the first 100 days, it will be an incredible act of foolishness. This administration and this Congress and in both parties need to get some sort of funding resolution passed now. Most of the money for the year is already spent. This is all just symbolism. If they gag on this because they want to be able to say that within 100 days they put two bricks down on the wall or whatever else and they shut the government down, you can kiss all of 2017 goodbye for the rest of the priorities. That would be a big mistake."
