Waters Claims She’s Never Called for Trump’s Impeachment Hours After Tweeting She Wanted Him Impeached (The Washington Free Beacon)

Rep. Maxine Waters (D., Calif.) found herself getting fact-checked in the middle of her MSNBC interview on Tuesday when she claimed she's never called for the impeachment of President Trump.

Waters is a fervent critic of Trump, and she tweeted as recently as Tuesday morning that she would "fight everyday until he's impeached." MSNBC host Craig Melvin read the tweet out at the beginning of their interview and asked Waters what those impeachable offenses were.

Waters said there were questions about whether Trump and the Russian government colluded to defeat Hillary Clinton, but as she began to ramble in her accusations against various members of Trump's cabinet, Melvin tried to cut in.
