Biography
Kristina grew up around television studio sets as if they were her playground. All of her haircuts as a young child were done by the same stylists who worked on Susan Lucci’s trademark mane. (True story.) At 16 she was able to attend the Daytime Emmy’s as her mother’s date. You could say her childhood was anything but normal because she was born into a family who made their living creating ‘TV Magic’ and she credits them for who she is today.
Kristina, however, chose a different path and had to work her way up on her own. She started interning for various shows by the time she was 15. After earning a BS from Boston University in Broadcast Journalism, she then worked behind the scenes in Entertainment production for MTV, Vh1, ABC, CBS, White Cherry Productions and WPIX. It was at the ‘PIX Morning News” that she got her first “big break” – flying high in the skies in the “Air 11” helicopter covering traffic and breaking news. While at WPIX she created her own human interest feature series “What’s Your Wish?” helping people in need, all the while still producing, writing and setting up entertainment segments.
After 5 years of wearing different hats at ‘PIX’ she moved to FiOS1 as the AM Entertainment and Traffic Anchor. A true hands on personality, she shot, edited, and reported all her own stories. While at FIOS1 she was chosen to host “My FIOS Home Ultimate Upgrade” giving deserving local families a much needed technology makeover. She also produced and hosted four half-hour Entertainment specials about “The Oscar Awards,” “Summer Movies” and a “Year in Entertainment”.
With hundreds of red carpet interviews and press junkets under her belt, Kristina Behr is an established on-air talent who has made her mark in the world of celebrity culture as well as news. Kristina’s versatility, quick wit, and warm personality naturally captivates a wide audience.
