Biography
For nearly 20 years, Dom Giordano has been one of the country’s most popular and respected talk show hosts.
Dom began his unique path to broadcasting as an elementary school and high school teacher in school districts throughoutPhiladelphiaandSouth Jersey, where he received extensive local and national media coverage for his innovative teaching techniques. After becoming a frequent guest on talk shows and news programs for his education expertise, Giordano was hired at WWDB (96.5 FM) Radio, Philadelphia, in 1987, becoming the country’s first teacher-turned-talk show host at a major broadcast market.
After a successful career at WWDB, Dom joined 1210-AM WPHT Radio, Philadelphia, in 2000.
In addition to his Philadelphia radio show, Dom has been a fill-in host for a number of nationally syndicated radio programs, including: The Joe Scarborough Show; The Jim Bohannon Show; the Bill O’Reilly “Radio Factor”; the Lou Dobbs Radio Show; and the Fred Thompson Radio Show. He also has been a fill in host at WOR Radio (New York), KDKA (Pittsburgh) and WCBM (Baltimore) and other major talk stations across the country.
With his unique teaching/talk show background, Dom is a frequent commentator and analyst on news broadcasts and talk programs to analyze issues that impact children, schools and families. He has appeared on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, Court TV, CNN Headline News, CNN “Showbiz Tonight,” The Montel Williams Show, NBC-10 Philadelphia and Fox-29 TV Philadelphia.
Dom also hosts a weekend parenting/education show on WPHT 1210-AM Radio in addition to his daily general interest talk program. He also writes a regular parenting/education column for The Philadelphia Daily News.
Dom graduated fromLaSalleUniversitywith a degree in education and earned a Masters Degree in Education fromAntiochUniversity. He also attended Rutgers University Law School from 1979 to 1982. Dom and his wife Rosemary, also a teacher, reside in Philadelphia.
