David Spunt has joined CBS 3 and The CW Philly’s Eyewitness News team as a reporter, Vice President and News Director Susan Schiller has announced.<br> <br> Spunt comes to Philadelphia from WBTV in Charlotte, North Carolina where he has been a reporter since 2012. Previously, he was a reporter for WAFB in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he won a regional Edward R. Murrow Award for breaking news coverage and was also recognized by the Louisiana Associated Press Association for story of the year. He has also worked as a reporter for WRBL in Columbus, Georgia in addition to working in public radio.<br> <br> Spunt was a production assistant for The CBS Evening News earlier in his career.<br> <br> A native of Boston, Massachusetts, Spunt grew up in Columbus, Ohio and is a 2007 graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and political science.<br> <br> CBS 3 (KYW-TV) and The CW Philly (WPSG-TV) are part of CBS Television Stations, a division of CBS Corporation.<br> <br> — phillyadclub.com
