Montana Dem Gov. Steve Bullock on 2020: ‘In Many Ways Our Economy Is Broken’

>>> You re never going ░░░░░░░░ have a governing 30 ░░░░░░░░ olds today were age ░░░░░░░░ And they continued after ░░░░░░░░ Obama The only reason ░░░░░░░░ came out in support ░░░░░░░░ background checks and many ░░░░░░░░ think that doesn t ░░░░░░░░ far enough They pushed ░░░░░░░░ what they call an ░░░░░░░░ weapons ban Would you ░░░░░░░░ a ban like that ░░░░░░░░ know I would Jake ░░░░░░░░ we were to really ░░░░░░░░ back for a minute ░░░░░░░░ think most folks that ░░░░░░░░ it in Montana or ░░░░░░░░ that are firearm owners ░░░░░░░░ to keep themselves their ░░░░░░░░ safe It s not ░░░░░░░░ those folks who say ░░░░░░░░ those that have been ░░░░░░░░ what do they really ░░░░░░░░ Those same values there ░░░░░░░░ things we could do ░░░░░░░░ anything from red flag ░░░░░░░░ to closing to having ░░░░░░░░ sort of universal background ░░░░░░░░ to making sure we ░░░░░░░░ doing everything we can ░░░░░░░░ age restrictions or magazine ░░░░░░░░ but let s begin ░░░░░░░░ everybody wants to keep ░░░░░░░░ and their families safe ░░░░░░░░ let s begin with ░░░░░░░░ where we can move ░░░░░░░░ forward Some in our ░░░░░░░░ are calling to abolish ░░░░░░░░ More and more Democrats ░░░░░░░░ supporting Medicare for all ░░░░░░░░ polling shows more Democrats ░░░░░░░░ a positive view of ░░░░░░░░ than they do a ░░░░░░░░ Do you have concerns ░░░░░░░░ party is moving too ░░░░░░░░ to the left You ░░░░░░░░ and Jake I certainly ░░░░░░░░ t want to demengs ░░░░░░░░ question because I know ░░░░░░░░ and others in the ░░░░░░░░ are trying to figure ░░░░░░░░ what s going on ░░░░░░░░ there But this us ░░░░░░░░ them mentality when I ░░░░░░░░ traveling around the country ░░░░░░░░ really don t see ░░░░░░░░ I see unification after ░░░░░░░░ I see all Democrats ░░░░░░░░ around and saying they ░░░░░░░░ to make sure we ░░░░░░░░ to have affordable health ░░░░░░░░ at the same time ░░░░░░░░ are trying to strip ░░░░░░░░ Medicaid and if anybody ░░░░░░░░ out of line from ░░░░░░░░ perspective like senator McCain ░░░░░░░░ and gets repeatedly taunted ░░░░░░░░ have to walk lock ░░░░░░░░ in the ways that ░░░░░░░░ t improve the lines ░░░░░░░░ Americans and there s ░░░░░░░░ good competition of ideas ░░░░░░░░ that really stands in ░░░░░░░░ to anybody who steps ░░░░░░░░ of lean to this ░░░░░░░░ president on the Republican ░░░░░░░░ is worried not only ░░░░░░░░ the re election but ░░░░░░░░ know continued taunts and ░░░░░░░░ You were in Iowa ░░░░░░░░ You re going to ░░░░░░░░ in New Hampshire next ░░░░░░░░ You re a two ░░░░░░░░ governor of a state ░░░░░░░░ won by 20 points ░░░░░░░░ Democrats think this means ░░░░░░░░ could compete in a ░░░░░░░░ state as a presidential ░░░░░░░░ I understand you haven ░░░░░░░░ announced you re running ░░░░░░░░ anything But do you ░░░░░░░░ if you did run ░░░░░░░░ could beat President Trump ░░░░░░░░ I look at and ░░░░░░░░ hypotheticals are a bit ░░░░░░░░ certainly I was the ░░░░░░░░ Democrat I think in ░░░░░░░░ country to get re ░░░░░░░░ statewide in a state ░░░░░░░░ President Trump won More ░░░░░░░░ that I ve actually ░░░░░░░░ able to bring folks ░░░░░░░░ from expanding Medicaid to ░░░░░░░░ earned income tax credit ░░░░░░░░ investments in education trying ░░░░░░░░ get money out at ░░░░░░░░ which is something I ░░░░░░░░ talking about in Iowa ░░░░░░░░ think if anybody actually ░░░░░░░░ we share the values ░░░░░░░░ folks across this country ░░░░░░░░ for those values and ░░░░░░░░ to bridge some of ░░░░░░░░ divides divides both in ░░░░░░░░ country or political system ░░░░░░░░ could be President Trump ░░░░░░░░ That would theoretically include ░░░░░░░░ I suppose It would ░░░░░░░░ all kinds of folks ░░░░░░░░ now really what I ░░░░░░░░ been doing is I ░░░░░░░░ been listening traveling the ░░░░░░░░ quite a bit listening ░░░░░░░░ more than we ve ░░░░░░░░ talking For now that ░░░░░░░░ as far as it ░░░░░░░░ Thanks for joining us ░░░░░░░░ We appreciate Great talking ░░░░░░░░ morning, Jake.
