HOLDER In many states ░░░░░░░░ disenfranchisement laws are still ░░░░░░░░ the books And the ░░░░░░░░ scope of these policies ░░░░░░░░ not only too significant ░░░░░░░░ ignore it is also ░░░░░░░░ unjust to tolerate These ░░░░░░░░ deserve to not only ░░░░░░░░ reconsidered but repealed And ░░░░░░░░ today I call upon ░░░░░░░░ leaders and other elected ░░░░░░░░ across this country to ░░░░░░░░ clear and consistent reforms ░░░░░░░░ restore the voting rights ░░░░░░░░ all who have served ░░░░░░░░ terms in prison or ░░░░░░░░ completed their parole or ░░░░░░░░ and paid their fines ░░░░░░░░ call upon experts and ░░░░░░░░ to stand together in ░░░░░░░░ an unfortunate and outdated ░░░░░░░░ quo And I call ░░░░░░░░ the American people who ░░░░░░░░ oppose felony disenfranchisement to ░░░░░░░░ us in bringing about ░░░░░░░░ end of misguided policies ░░░░░░░░ unjustly restrict what s ░░░░░░░░ called the most basic ░░░░░░░░ of American citizenship”
