Mark Glaze: We Should Do What Australia Did and Confiscate Guns

RUSH TRANSCRIPT Former executive ░░░░░░░░ of every town for ░░░░░░░░ safety and he joins ░░░░░░░░ Thanks for coming on ░░░░░░░░ for having me Tucker ░░░░░░░░ addition to being a ░░░░░░░░ tragedy the shooting on ░░░░░░░░ seems to blow up ░░░░░░░░ basic assumption of gun ░░░░░░░░ It was the government ░░░░░░░░ allow this to happen ░░░░░░░░ gun laws would have ░░░░░░░░ this but they weren ░░░░░░░░ enforced because the bureaucracy ░░░░░░░░ incompetent and the only ░░░░░░░░ was armed with a ░░░░░░░░ gun that you would ░░░░░░░░ to ban Why doesn ░░░░░░░░ this make you rethink ░░░░░░░░ life s work I ░░░░░░░░ really glad that I ░░░░░░░░ there everybody ought to ░░░░░░░░ that it was good ░░░░░░░░ a good guy with ░░░░░░░░ gun happen to stop ░░░░░░░░ guy but there ve ░░░░░░░░ 377 mass shootings this ░░░░░░░░ in the United States ░░░░░░░░ good guy generally is ░░░░░░░░ there plus if you ░░░░░░░░ police chiefs whether it ░░░░░░░░ chance to have more ░░░░░░░░ in a shoot out ░░░░░░░░ inevitably even if there ░░░░░░░░ a good guy with ░░░░░░░░ gun it civilians that ░░░░░░░░ end up shooting because ░░░░░░░░ are confusing situations Better ░░░░░░░░ go upstream and make ░░░░░░░░ harder for everybody to ░░░░░░░░ assault weapons than to ░░░░░░░░ on a good guy ░░░░░░░░ To do an analysis ░░░░░░░░ accidental shootings by police ░░░░░░░░ they are very very ░░░░░░░░ very common and people ░░░░░░░░ injured by them I ░░░░░░░░ seen the numbers But ░░░░░░░░ doesn t change the ░░░░░░░░ facts which are these ░░░░░░░░ I just said them ░░░░░░░░ the average mass shooting ░░░░░░░░ of mass shootings last ░░░░░░░░ minutes At the average ░░░░░░░░ response time is more ░░░░░░░░ twice that Not an ░░░░░░░░ on police there just ░░░░░░░░ t that many in ░░░░░░░░ country Asking the average ░░░░░░░░ to put his life ░░░░░░░░ his family lives at ░░░░░░░░ mercy of law enforcement ░░░░░░░░ for law enforcement to ░░░░░░░░ is insane I think ░░░░░░░░ would concede that we ░░░░░░░░ have a choice here ░░░░░░░░ can arm everybody in ░░░░░░░░ hopes that we will ░░░░░░░░ them out and the ░░░░░░░░ guys ultimately will win ░░░░░░░░ than they lose or ░░░░░░░░ can address the fact ░░░░░░░░ this doesn t happen ░░░░░░░░ any other industrialized country ░░░░░░░░ the world and it ░░░░░░░░ because we go up ░░░░░░░░ to the problem and ░░░░░░░░ guns really hard to ░░░░░░░░ Tucker There is a ░░░░░░░░ assumption as we have ░░░░░░░░ many times and as ░░░░░░░░ king the liberal senator ░░░░░░░░ Maine explained today on ░░░░░░░░ there are plenty of ░░░░░░░░ with enormously high rates ░░░░░░░░ gun ownership with basically ░░░░░░░░ violent crime I don ░░░░░░░░ accept your premise but ░░░░░░░░ truth is we don ░░░░░░░░ have a choice because ░░░░░░░░ have millions that tens ░░░░░░░░ millions hundreds of millions ░░░░░░░░ firearms in this country ░░░░░░░░ unless we take them ░░░░░░░░ I assume you are ░░░░░░░░ proposing that it would ░░░░░░░░ Civil War in about ░░░░░░░░ minutes you have to ░░░░░░░░ with the reality about ░░░░░░░░ existence of those firearms ░░░░░░░░ don t you They ░░░░░░░░ a culture Tucker I ░░░░░░░░ not here on behalf ░░░░░░░░ the NRA I m ░░░░░░░░ saying that s a ░░░░░░░░ point What s the ░░░░░░░░ To create the situation ░░░░░░░░ which there are that ░░░░░░░░ guns out there Tucker ░░░░░░░░ NRA is just a ░░░░░░░░ point What you do ░░░░░░░░ the fact that there ░░░░░░░░ hundreds of millions of ░░░░░░░░ Do you want to ░░░░░░░░ them away I think ░░░░░░░░ ought to do what ░░░░░░░░ did I think we ░░░░░░░░ to basically have the ░░░░░░░░ buy them back Tucker ░░░░░░░░ them away If they ░░░░░░░░ required to buy them ░░░░░░░░ Tucker I wish we ░░░░░░░░ started with this how ░░░░░░░░ would it take if ░░░░░░░░ was a Civil War ░░░░░░░░ this country For real ░░░░░░░░ think that s overstated ░░░░░░░░ You think there wouldn ░░░░░░░░ be widespread violence of ░░░░░░░░ government tried to take ░░░░░░░░ guns away I actually ░░░░░░░░ t Good citizens Tucker ░░░░░░░░ citizens Comply obey or ░░░░░░░░ are not a good ░░░░░░░░ I hope you will ░░░░░░░░ back Thank you for ░░░░░░░░ honest enough to admit ░░░░░░░░ real agenda.
