Obama Congratulates Connecticut for Raising Minimum Wage to $10.10

"But that's what's happening right now. All across the country, you can work full-time, on the minimum wage and still be in poverty. And that's why in the years since I first asked Congress to raise the minimum wage, we have seen six states on their own pass laws to raise their minimum wage. Last week Connecticut became the first state in the country to raise its minimum wage to $10.10 an hour. Congratulations Connecticut."
