Morell: State Dept. Was ‘Upset’ About Terror Language in Benghazi Talking Points

‘The talking points are in limbo—they’re stuck’

State Dept. Was ‘Very Upset’ About Terror Threat Warnings In Original Benghazi TPs (Washington Free Beacon)

Former CIA Deputy Director Mike Morell testified Wednesday the State Department was “very upset” about terror threat warnings being included in an original draft of the Benghazi talking points:

MIKE MORELL: So the next morning, Saturday morning, I come in, and my executive assistant tells me that State Department is very upset about the warning language as well. And a as a result the talking points are in limbo, they’re stuck.

Morell’s testimony supports earlier reports that Hillary Clinton’s State Department press secretary Victoria Nuland wanted to purge all terror threat references for fear of being criticized by Congress.
