Boehner: Obama’s Policies are Driving Income Inequality (Washington Free Beacon)

Speaker John Boehner (R., Ohio) argued President Obama’s healthcare law and policies are the cause for “the income inequalities that we see today” during a Wednesday press conference.

“You know, the president likes to focus on income inequality, but incomes are lower under his watch. As a matter of fact, I would argue that his policies are driving a lot of the income inequalities that we see today,” Boehner said.

“A key part of this is the health care law and the 30-hour rule, which has become a significant barrier to job growth in our country. Republicans are working to repeal this 30-hour requirement under “Obamacare” and allow Americans who want to work to actually get to work. It’s a common-sense measure, and it’s, frankly, critical in our effort to get Americans back working again,” Boehner added.
