Fox’s Bolling: The Pro-Trump People on Other Networks ‘Aren’t Really Equipped to Defend Themselves’

‘I think what happens is with CNN and with MSNBC, yes, there is representation of the right, but the representation of the right is far outnumbered and certainly far outsmarted, I would say’

Fox’s Bolling: The Pro-Trump People on Other Networks ‘Aren’t Really Equipped to Defend Themselves’ (Mediaite)

Fox News’ Eric Bolling made an observation on today’s The Five about the pro-Trump panelists competitors like CNN have on the air.

The discussion topic for the segment was former Hillary Clinton communications director Jennifer Palmieri‘s argument that while the media does have a liberal bias, that actually leads to tougher coverage of Democrats.

Greg Gutfeld said that most of the press “still hate[s] the right” more than they love the left. Dana Perino said that for whatever complaints Democrats may have about the media, Republicans are certainly subjected to more “ridicule” and “the far right is much more maligned than the left.”

Bolling pointed to how other networks will have panels with one pro-Trump panelist along with a few anti-Trump ones. But then he said the following, even singling out co-host Juan Williams to make his point:

“The pro-Trump people that they’re putting on aren’t really equipped to defend themselves against three or four of the others. Now, Juan is a liberal, we’re––I’m conservative, we can be middle or conservative, whatever we want to call ourselves, but he’s equipped to handle us… I think what happens is with CNN and with MSNBC, yes, there is representation of the right, but the representation of the right is far outnumbered and certainly far outsmarted, I would say.”
