Cornyn: If Hillary Clinton Had Won, ‘We’d Never Hear Merrick Garland’s Name Again’

‘I can’t imagine the pressure that they are failing to oppose this nominee’

EXCERPT:

CORNYN: "Thank you, Mr. Chairman, for the way you conducted these hearings and this markup, and giving everybody a chance to express themselves. And listening to our colleagues across the aisle, I can’t imagine the pressure that they are feeling to oppose this nominee. But if they are going to oppose Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court of the United States, they’ll never vote and never support a nominee of this President because in the end I think that is really what gets their goat the most. We keep hearing about Merrick Garland, but I guarantee you, if Hillary Clinton had won the presidency, we would never hear Merrick Garland's name again because she would’ve had the opportunity to pick her own nominee to the Supreme Court.
