‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Creator Tears Apart ‘Hashtag Activism’ In Commencement Speech (Independent Journal Review)

Shonda Rhimes, creator, writer, and producer of the TV series Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice, and Scandal, gave the commencement speech at her alma mater Dartmouth this week. And while she said she doesn’t have a lot of wisdom to offer the graduates, she can give some advice, from one grad to another.

She encouraged the class of 2014 to find a cause worth fighting for, and to give back to the world. But she clarified that by telling the graduates something that everyone could benefit from hearing.
