Hillary Defends Maxine Waters and April Ryan’s Sexist Attacks

HILLARY: “Just look to what’s happened in the last few days to women who were simply doing their jobs. April Ryan, a respected journalist with unrivaled integrity, were doing her job, just this afternoon in the White House press room. She was patronized and cut-off trying to ask a question. One of your own California Congresswoman, Maxine Waters, has been taunted with a racist joke about her hair. Now too many women, especially, women of color had a lifetime of practice taking precisely these indignities in stride. Why should we have to? Any women who think this couldn’t be directed to her is living in a dreamworld.”
