WaPo’s Dan Balz Calls Out Tom Perez for Departing from Biden’s Supreme Court Rules

BALZ: "You know, in January, Vice President Biden said, 'No one is required to vote for the nominee, but they are in my view required to give the nominee a hearing and a vote.'"
PEREZ: "Well, he got it. He certainly got a hearing. We just had a hearing. And we're about to have a vote on cloture."
BALZ: "Well, that's different than a vote. Is it not?"
PEREZ: "Actually, Vice President Biden also talked about what I just said, Dan, which is, when you nominate judges who are within the mainstream of American thinking, that's one thing. When you're nominating judges who are far outside of the mainstream of American thinking, that's a totally different thing."
