Schumer: Gorsuch’s ‘Instinctive Reaction’ Is to Side with Corporations, Special Interests

SCHUMER: "The issue is what his ideology is. He says he’s going to call it down the middle. Someone Sofer eventually supported by the federalist society which has a history of moving the courts to the right. Why are they doing that and spending $10 million these hard right groups to support him? Is it because he’s going to be a neutral judge and call balls and strikes? I don’t believe so. If you look at his early history and court cases that doesn’t support that. He has an instinctive reaction in too many cases to side with the big corporate special interest rather than the individuals. And Supreme Court is the only option some of these people have."
