‘You know, President Obama is owed an apology’

Top House Republican: Trump Should Apologize To Obama For ‘Reckless’ Claim (Mediaite)

Rep. Tom Cole, the deputy majority whip in the House of Representatives, called on President Donald Trump to apologize to former President Barack Obama over his wiretapping claim on Twitter days ago.

CNN congressional correspondent Manu Raju asked the Oklahoma Republican about the ongoing controversy. Rep. Cole replied, “I see no indication that that’s true. And so, it’s not a charge I would have ever made.”

The deputy whip continued, “And frankly, unless you can produce some pretty compelling proof, then I think the president — you know, President Obama is owed an apology in that regard — because, you know, if he didn’t do it, we shouldn’t be reckless in accusations that he did.”
