Cruz: Ryan Health Care Bill ‘As Drafted Would Not Pass the Senate’

‘If it’s not going to pass the Senate it raises a good question of why House members would want to vote for this bill and pay the political price for voting for this bill if it is doomed a failure in the Senate’

CRUZ: “The most troubling aspect of the CBO report is that it underscored my biggest concern about the current draft of the House bill, which is that it does not do enough to drive down premiums. The bill, as drafted, would not pass the Senate. And I would point out that if it’s not going to pass the Senate it raises a good question of why House members would want to vote for this bill and pay the political price for voting for this bill if it is doomed to failure in the Senate.”
