Gov. Andrew Cuomo Says He Hasn’t Followed Preet Bharara’s Firing

‘There’s a transition from one administration to the next, but beyond that I haven’t followed it’

Gov. Andrew Cuomo Says He Hasn’t Followed Preet Bharara’s Firing (The Washington Free Beacon)

Cuomo (D.) said Tuesday on "CBS This Morning" that he has not followed the firing of the U.S. attorney in Manhattan by the Trump administration and does not know enough to comment on the situation.

Former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Preet Bharara said on Saturday he was fired after President Donald Trump's attorney general, Jeff Sessions, formally asked the remaining 46 chief federal prosecutors appointed by the Obama administration to resign. Bharara initially refused to resign and was subsequently fired.

CBS host Norah O'Donnell asked Cuomo how he thought the firing "unfolded."
