Warren: GOP Health Care Plan ‘Drives up’ Cost for Families and Gives ‘New Tax Breaks’ to Billionaires

WARREN: "Look, let’s pick the Affordable Care Act as the perfect example. For years now, we have said we need to make improvements to the Affordable Care Act, to ObamaCare. And the answer from Republicans has been repeal, repeal, repeal, repeal, repeal. Well that’s not an improvement. That would leave millions of people without health care and even those who have health care with much less coverage. So, what’s happened now is they have presented an alternative. But the alternative is not an alternative that makes health care either more affordable or give better coverage to people across this country. The alternative they’ve given us is one that could cut health care for millions of Americans and take important protections out of the law. And here’s the worst part, drive up costs for working families at the same time that there'd be new tax breaks for millionaires and billionaires. You know, it’s just more of the Republican plan. Make this place work great for those at the top, don’t worry about anybody else."
