Donna Brazile: GOP Health Care Plan Is a ‘Terrible Imitation of ObamaCare’

‘Medicaid is really one of the foundations of our health care systems, especially for those who are poor’

EXCERPT:

BRAZILE: “First of all, it’s a terrible plan. It's a terrible imitation of ObamaCare. It covers less people and it costs more money. There will be more out of pocket expenses, and the prescription for Medicaid is -- is going to cause so much serious harm across the country, I am sure that many Republicans, including those who've already expressed dismay will once again go back home if they ever get back home again and talk to their constituents and say how the hell can this be? I mean, Medicaid is -- is really one of the foundations of our health care systems, especially for those who are poor, and the notion that somehow another poor people can get the resources or find even the money to -- to buy into a -- a plan that does not give them some form of subsidies, that -- that's just erroneous. So, I think this -- this plan is a terrible imitation of ObamaCare, it should be rejected, not just by Democrats but sensible Republicans who want to insure that every American get the kind of health care coverage that will save their lives."
