President Obama scolded a reporter on Tuesday afternoon for asking a question about Syria after he had just completed touring the White House Science Fair.

During the president’s visit with students at the fair, news broke that his office is close to authorizing the deployment of trainers to work with Syrian rebel forces.

Moments after the president finished taking photographs with the press and individual students, RealClearPolitics reporter Alexis Simendinger asked him about his expected approach.

“I’m sorry,” he shot back at her. “We’re doing a science fair.” As he turned away to exit the room, he continued with the rebuking: “C’mon. C’mon.”
