Canadian FM: The Border Between the U.S and Canada Is ‘Secure’

‘What we’re talking about is actually making that border, while maintaining its security, which is a priority for Canadians as well, also make it thinner’

RUSH EXCERPT:
FREELAND: "I am not obviously going to put words into the president’s mouth but what I heard from the president at the press conference today was a very strong, very warm endorsement of the relationship of the United States and Canada. The border between Canada and the United States is a tremendous resource for the two countries. It’s a secure border. It’s a border that 400,000 people cross every day. It’s a border of which $2 billion of business are done every day and in our conversation in our official statement afterwards, what we’re talking about is actually making that border, while maintaining its security, which is a priority for Canadians as well, also make it thinner, making it easier for all of the crossers, to visit family, to go to a restaurant and go do business. That will create jobs and growth on both sides."
