Schumer: Puzder’s ‘the Most Anti-Worker Nominee to the Department of Labor Ever’

‘They ought to withdraw Mr. Puzder before he further embarrasses this administration and further exposes the hypocrisy of President Trump, who says one thing to the American worker and does another’

Chuck Schumer: Trump ‘Could Not Have Picked a Worse Nominee’ for Labor Department (Mediaite)

Adding himself to the ever growing list of publicly vocal detractors of President Trump‘s cabinet nominees is Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY).

At a press conference on Thursday, Schumer had particularly harsh words in regards to Andrew Puzder, President Trump’s nominee for United States Secretary of Labor and the CEO of CKE Restaurants (the parent company of Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr). “Everything in his career is antithetical to the goals of the Department of Labor,” Schumer said, maintaining his position that Puzder’s previous business dealings (and the way he conducted them) are counterintuitive to the platform Trump ran on where the working class is concerned.

Schumer went further, getting a dig in at the Trump administration in the process, saying, “They ought to withdraw Mr. Puzder before he further embarrasses this administration and further exposes the hypocrisy of President Trump, who says one thing to the American worker and does another.”
