Whoopi Goldberg Slams Trump’s Media, Terrorism Remarks: Saying It Doesn’t Change That ‘You’re Wrong’ (Mediaite)

Whoopi Goldberg went after President Trump today over his insinuation that the media chooses not to report on terrorism as a means to their own end.

During a speech yesterday, Trump said the “very dishonest press” doesn’t want to cover Islamic terrorism in Europe, while adding that “they have their reasons and you understand that.” Various media figures have fired back at Trump over this, and on Tuesday, Goldberg brought up how events like the murder of Daniel Pearl give journalists a compelling reason to cover terror attacks, sometimes risking their lives to do so.

“Even though Steve Bannon is running everything, I know that you can say what you want about the media, you can continue say all of those things, but it doesn’t change the fact that you’re wrong,” Goldberg said. “You’re wrong, my friend. You’re wrong.”
