Bill Kristol: Republicans in Congress Are Starting To Get Nervous About Trump (RealClearPolitics)

Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol points to tweets from Rep. Liz Cheney, daughter of Dick Cheney, as evidence that Republicans on the Hill "are starting to break ranks" from their current policy of "giving Trump the benefit of the doubt."

He also pointed to Mitch McConnell's objections to President Trump's comments about Vladimir Putin.

"I have a sense that when you talk privately to Republican members of Congress -- two weeks ago they wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, but now two-and-a-half weeks in Republican members are getting pretty nervous that he's not getting it straightened out," he said.
