Senate Chaplain: ‘Mr. President ... I Urge You ... Pray for All People’

‘We need to pray for everyone, all people’

RUSH TRANSCRIPT:
"Mr. President, you may be familiar with the scripture because it was read at your inauguration, but it is so spot on. New living translation, I urge you, said the tent maker from tarsus to his protege, first of all, to pray for all people, ask god to help them. We need to pray for everyone, all people, whether they read the -- whether they read the holy quran, we need to pray for all people, hallelujah to the land of god.(Applause)  Ask god to help them, intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings, and all who are in authority, so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases god, our savior, who wants -- here this -- who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. Praise god."
