Fox’s Harris Faulkner Tells Mediaite How Her Mother Used Mary Tyler Moore to Inspire Her (Mediaite)

Mediaite’s Travis Irvine was able to catch up with Fox News personality Harris Faulkner on the street and get her to comment on the recent passing of television legend Mary Tyler Moore.

The Outnumbered host told Irvine a story from her youth, saying that her mother pointed to Moore’s iconic character on The Mary Tyler Moore Show as a hero for the younger Faulkner to look up to.

“You know what, I know it’s just a character on TV,” she said, speaking as her mother. “But Kimberly — that’s my middle name — you could do what she’s doing. You could be a barrier buster in a newsroom with your storytelling someday.”
