Cummings to Trump: Instead of Voter Fraud, Investigate the People Who’ve Been Denied the Right to Vote

‘I don’t see how the president could come to any conclusion that there’s any credible evidence that there’s any significant or insignificant amount of voter fraud’

EXCERPT:

CUMMINGS: “I don’t see how the President could come to any conclusion that there’s any credible evidence that there’s any significant or insignificant amount of voter fraud. Chris, I am appealing — I’m hoping the President is watching. I’m appealing to the President not to go through with this type of investigation. I think it’s going to be a waste of taxpayer dollars. What I would ask him to do, however, is do an investigation of all the people who are being denied their right to vote, where the Fourth Circuit said that in North Carolina, the North Carolina legislature surgically and systematically did everything in their power to stop African-American people and people who would normally vote for Democrats from voting. I want him to address the issue of 600,000 Texans not being able to vote. Those are the issues we need to deal with."
