Fmr. Mexican President Vicente Fox to Trump: We Can Live Without NAFTA, "You Can Not" (RealClearPolitics)

Former Mexican President Vicente Fox tells CNN's Anderson Cooper that the current president of Mexico, Peña-Nieto, should consider canceling his plans to meet with President Trump. Or, if he does meet Trump, that he should walk out of the meeting if Trump insults Mexico.

Fox repeated his pledge that Mexico would not pay for Trump's border wall on Twitter, after President Trump signed an executive order to begin construction on the border wall today

In his interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper, Fox advised the current Mexican president, saying: "If, at any point in time, when he is sitting with [Trump], he is again aggressive with Mexico, he is again offending Mexico, if he is mentioning that he will impose 35% taxation on cars made in Mexico, President Peña should stand up, should get out of there and tell him: 'We don't need your NAFTA -- we can live without it. You can not.' You can not because of your food and your grain that U.S. puts to Mexico... the $40 billion U.S. dollars that you export... It is over $40 billion, which means millions of jobs for the U.S.A."
