Sen. Merkley: So Much Irony Rick Perry Is Nominated for a Department He Wanted To Abolish

MATTHEWS: "I know its funny, should this guy be Secretary of Energy if he wanted to get rid of the department." 
MERKLEY: "There was so much irony that he was nominated for this department that he could not remember the name of it and wanted to eliminate. I gather that now that he finds out it has a lot to do with protecting the process regarding nuclear energy, he's not as interested as he was when he first said yes."
MATTHEWS: "He wanted to protect gas obviously." 
MERKLEY: "He is certainly not at the top of the list whether when we talk about the folks who are most concerned about in this cabinet of swamp monsters."
